Project: Escentric Molecules 30ml travel case – outer aluminum cases
The Journey Began:The phileas fogg of packaging for ThinkTank!!
When asked by Me Company to source a manufacturer for their design of an aluminum travel case for the cult fragrance Escentric Molecules, our response was “no problem”
Little did we know that this would send Dean all around the world trying to source the correct substrate for Me Company’s requirements.
It started in Germany, Italy , UK, eventually landing in China where the sandblasting machine had to be especially built so the supplier could achieve the consistency required.
The sand couldn’t be any old sand either – it had to be stainless steel sand as the normal sand was deteriorating too quickly.
And now, what don't we know about melamine, aluminum, sandblasting ,etching and 2 part perfume cases?!?
One year later from initial enquiry, plus lots of blood sweat and tears on behalf of Me Company and Think Tank, these gorgeous travel cases are to be displayed in Harvey Nichols -
One very big tick on the research front!
