Airside book
Having recently received our copy of the Airside book by Airside celebrating their 10th anniversary, we felt real pangs of nostalgia at Think Tank. Having worked with Fred Deakin & Airside from pretty much word go including projects like LemonJelly.ky, Lost Horizons and their grand finale 64-95. Looking through the book at all the uniquely designed projects we have worked on felt like a milestone in the evolution of the trippy world of lemon Jelly and indeed ourselves!
Dean has worked with Fred on all of these projects along with Phil Lee @ XL, and has experienced Fred’s “I want to make every one perfect and unlike anything else around, and I want die cuts, lots of them”. We loved working with Fred as he always wanted to push boundaries just like we do and the budget somehow was allowed. We got to produce some magnificent packaging that matched the vibe & feel of the music. Not often you get the artist creating his own artwork, which proved difficult at times. However, overall it spawned a great relationship that still exists today. Fred, if Lemon Jelly come out of retirement, we’ll be expecting your call!
